join the tigmoo book club!tigmoo.co.uk book clubWe like books. We like reading them, we like talking about them and we shopping for them. There's just one fly in the ointment - one of our favourite companies for researching and buying books online, Amazon.co.uk, are rather fond of union busting, which is most certainly not high on the list of things we like. (Read this article by Gregor Gall for a bit more background on this). So - we've come up with a fun experiment. We don't want to boycott Amazon. In fact we want you to help us buy more stuff from them. We have established an affiliate link with them, which will earn a percentage on anything bought through this link. Our commission builds up, and next year (if we've managed to get some cash together), we'll hold a competiton on tigmoo.co.uk for the most entertaining way to spend all that money to promote trade unions and employment rights to Amazon staff. The more we buy, the more we'll organise! To take part - the next time you feel the urge to shop at Amazon, come by our site first and click on the special links on the bookclub page. Then just shop away as normal, knowing that you're contributing around 5% of your spend to union activity there. Calling all reviewers:Also every now and then, we'll have a book review on the site, which we think might be of interest to tigmoo users. Buying these from the link in the review will earn an even bigger chunk of commission. If you have a favourite tigmoo book and would like to write a review for the club, we'd love to post it up, so send it in with our online contact form here.
