Hurrah! Not content with being one of Iain Dale's 100 lefty blogs, we've now made it onto an even more prestigious top 100!

Netxplorateur is a very interesting looking conference on the business and societal impact of the internet, due next month in Paris. It's their first conference and to mark it, they've devised the 'Netxplorateur 100', a list of 100 innovative projects, covering a very wide range of applications in society and commerce. So you'll find us, nestling amongst the likes of MySociety's E-petitions, Bladerunner GPS clothing, the OLPC and those nabaztag wifi rabbits. It's an interesting list, mixing innovations from the genuinely useful in the here and now, with quirkier tasters of what might become useful in the future (no prizes for guessing where we fit, I imagine...)

So, thanks very much! We're never averse to a compliment. But the people who most deserve this one are the nearly 80 bloggers who are part of the network. If anyone feels like dusting off their best oscar acceptance (seeing as you mightn't get a chance to go to the Oscars this year anyway...), stick in a comment!
